Women's Club of Inverness to host fall fundraiser, Memories of Christmas Past, on November 16, 2018

Women's Club of Inverness (WCI) mailed the invitations last month for their fall fundraiser, Memories of Christmas Past, which will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018. This year's chair team of Karen Spering and Cheryl Trzupek, along with their committee, have planned a stroll down memory lane for the daytime event.

Guests can partake in raffle chances for cash or elaborate holiday themed baskets, as well as a reverse auction to directly benefit the WCI mission. All event proceeds are earmarked for scholarships and grants to local organizations serving women, children, seniors and families.

In addition, there will be close to 40 vendors for boutique shopping until 3:00 pm for guests to get a jumpstart on holiday shopping. Centering on the themes of holiday gifts, dress, and food, other complimentary demonstrations will be held for guests' enjoyment.

• Jim Fabbrini of Fabbrinis' Flowers will teach bow making to dress up your gifts and home décor.

• Worth wardrobe consultant Sue Rogers will show stylish ways to wear and tie scarves.

• Author Carrie Schloss will demonstrate a quick recipe from her cookbook, The Asheville Bee Charmer.

The luncheon speaker, Amy Meadows, will reveal behind the scenes secrets to design, fabricate, and install the infamous State Street Christmas windows and other holiday traditions. Reminisce as Amy shares her 25 years in creating magical holidays at Marshall Field's!

Event is at Meridian Banquet and Conference Center, 1701 Algonquin Road, Rolling Meadows.

Tickets are $65 ($20 tax deductible) and reservations must be received by October 23, 2018. RSVP to Kathy Hickey at wci.event.information@gmail.com or call 847-496-5531.
