Fox Valley Festival Chorus' Singing Garage Sale returns Sept. 9-10
We're pretty sure you need our stuff!
The Fox Valley Festival Chorus will host its Singing Garage Sale fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, and Saturday, Sept. 10, at 377 Wildwood Drive in North Aurora.
Many of the 60-plus members of the Fox Valley Festival Chorus have spent the summer remodeling, downsizing, and nagging their friends and neighbors for new and gently used items they no longer need.
Hundreds of items ranging from ordinary household items, toys, DVDs, books, lawn equipment, craft items, remodeler's treasures, pet items, jewelry, exercise equipment, small pieces of furniture, fabric, shoes and decorative items to some special vintage and decorative objects. These include sheet music from the first half of the previous century, dozens of Chinese papercuts, and a few pieces of Depression glass that were given away as premiums for attending movies in the 1930s.
Proceeds from the sale will help support the Fox Valley Festival Chorus as it prepares for its 67th season which will end with a performance tour of Italy in June 2017.
As a special bonus, members of the chorus might spontaneously break out into song.
