Hearing in Glenview murder case continued to November
A juvenile court hearing this week for the suspect in the murder of Glenview teen Elias Valdez has been continued.
The hearing, originally scheduled for Wednesday in Skokie, now is set for Nov. 4, according to Laura Golub, one of the attorneys representing the defendant.
The suspect, 16, surrendered to Glenview police on Aug. 17 and was charged with second-degree murder in connection with the Aug. 5 stabbing death of Valdez, 15.
He was then released on electronic home monitoring after an Aug. 18 juvenile court detention hearing before Cook County Judge Steven Bernstein.
