Fremd High School Youth wins big at international Kung Fu Tournament
Charles Feng, a William Fremd High School student, won three Gold medals on empty-handed form and weapons at the 2021 International Taiji-Kungfu Tournament held on July 4, 2021.
The International Taiji-Kungfu Tournament, formerly known as the Golden State International Wushu Championships, has been held for 12 consecutive years. This year, a total of 953 athletes from over 22 countries and regions competes in the tournament.
Charles Feng has practiced Kungfu (Chinese Martial Arts) since age 5. He trains four days a week and is learning both traditional Shaolin style and contemporary Chinese Martial Arts. His weapon forms include long staff, broadsword, chain whip, double-edged sword, and spear.
