#MauldinandMe Selfie Contest & Giveaway
As part of the Pritzker Military Museum & Library's current exhibit, "Drawn to Combat: Bill Mauldin & The Art of War," five downtown Chicago bus shelters now feature Bill Mauldin's famous cartoons. The public is invited to hunt for these images and participate in the Museum's giveaway by taking selfies with the cartoons. Submit your #MauldinandMe selfies at the PritzkerMilitary.org website to enter the contest through July 4.
By taking a selfie with one or all of these images, participants can enter to win first, second or third prize! The more selfies snapped with the different cartoons, the more opportunities to win the grand prize. A selfie taken at the new exhibit located on the second floor of the Pritzker Military Museum & Library will earn an extra 3 points.
Three lucky winners will be announced on Thursday, July 8, 2021. The grand prize is a "Make Me into a Mauldin" self-portrait cartoon, created by military cartoonist (just like Bill Mauldin!), Arik Grant. He will turn a submitted photo into an original cartoon for the winner. Additional prizes for the first place winner includes a private exhibit tour for a group of four, a copy of the 2021 Eisner Award-nominated book, "Drawing Fire: The Editorial Cartoons of Bill," and a Mauldin T-shirt. Second and third place prizes will also be awarded, winners are chosen based on points earned for images.
