College of DuPage unveils new state-of-the-art multimedia studio

College of DuPage leaders and community members recently celebrated the opening of its new Multimedia Services Studio.

Located in the Culinary and Hospitality Center on the college's Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd., the updated space maximizes COD's interactive video storytelling capabilities and will soon incorporate ultra-high-definition 4K. The studio also is equipped with a green screen, robust control room and sound booth.

"This is a new era for College of DuPage and a very exciting moment for our institution and community-at-large," said President Dr. Brian Caputo. "With the demand for original content continuing to rise, I look forward to showcasing our faculty, staff, students and external partnerships through the college's new multimedia platform."

The Multimedia Services Department has been part of the college for nearly 50 years. During that time, the area has evolved in time with technical innovation.

"On behalf of the entire marketing and communications division, I am deeply honored to engage a wide array of key stakeholders in utilizing our state-of-the-art multimedia studio for now and many years to come," said Wendy E. Parks, vice president of PR, communications and marketing.

The college's award-winning multimedia staff will continue to produce programs that support students, faculty and staff, and deliver COD success stories to the community.

"Even though what we do is behind the scenes, the end result is supporting student success," said COD Multimedia Services Manager Jim Nocera. "Without the backing of the COD administration and the board of trustees, what we do would not be possible."
