Woodstock motorcyclist dies after colliding with pickup truck in Naperville

A 23-year-old Woodstock man died Tuesday night after the motorcycle he was driving collided with a pickup truck in Naperville, police said.

Naperville police say emergency crews responded at about 11:17 p.m. Aug. 4 to the intersection of East Warrenville Road and North Washington Street. When they arrived, they found a Ford F-150 pickup with heavy damage to its front left quarter panel and a Honda motorcycle with significant damage.

The motorcycle driver was unresponsive and pronounced dead, police said.

A passenger on the motorcycle, a 22-year-old woman from Woodstock, was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Authorities said the driver of the pickup truck, a 20-year-old West Chicago man, was evaluated but refused medical treatment.

During an investigation that closed Warrenville Road from Washington Street to Lucent Lane until 3:45 a.m. Wednesday, officials determined the motorcycle was going east on Warrenville when it collided with the pickup, which was making a left-hand turn onto westbound Warrenville Road from a private drive.
