If you’re out and about on Memorial Day, check out these dining specials around the suburbs.

Antico Posto in Oak Brook is offering half-off sommelier-selected wine bottles to complement the restaurant’s Italian fare from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, May 25.

The Assembly in Hoffman Estates and West Dundee is offering veterans half off their entree when they dine in on Monday. The offer excludes other specials; must show military ID or dog tags.

Ema in Glenview will extend its weekend brunch through Monday, May 25, giving diners an extra day to experience their Mediterranean-inspired fare such as strawberry ricotta toast, lamb shakshuka, kefta and eggs and more.

The Hampton Social is extending its weekend brunch through Monday, May 25, featuring dishes such as Gatsby Breakfast, Sunrise Beach Bowl and seasonal mimosas from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Burr Ridge, Skokie and South Barrington.

Shaw’s Crab House in Schaumburg is kicking off its Second Annual Shrimp Festival Friday, May 22, and will celebrate Memorial Day with live music in the Oyster Bar from 4-7 p.m. Shrimp fest includes new dishes such as crispy coconut shrimp, Buffalo shrimp wedge salad and shrimp Diavola, plus about a half dozen other favorites that will be available until June 12.

STK Steakhouse in Oak Brook is thanking veterans, active-duty military, reserves and first responders with a complimentary dine-in entree from a special menu Friday through Monday, May 22-25. Menu items include steak frites, maple-rubbed salmon, mushroom and truffle tagliatelle and free-range chicken. You’ll need to purchase an app or starter and show your military or veteran ID or proof of employment for first responders.

• The long-awaited Hopscotch Pub held its grand opening last week in Schaumburg. The eatery, at 40 S. Roselle Road, offers British gastropub-inspired dining, as well as state-of-the-art golf simulators and Schaumburg’s first interactive cricket simulator. The three-story restaurant features plenty of outdoor dining with a second-floor terrace.

• Aurora will welcome Kai Modern Japanese Cuisine on Wednesday, May 20. Located inside the historic Hobbs Building at 2 N. River St., Kai offers sushi, ramen and other Japanese favorites.

Blue Bottle Coffee recently opened a new cafe in Oakbrook Center. The menu includes coffee and seasonal beverages, a selection of culinary items and the brand’s signature New Orleans-style iced coffee, made with coffee, chicory and a touch of sweetness.
