It’s outdoor dining season
You can dine outdoors among the gardens of Cantigny Park in Wheaton during the next monthly installment of the Red Oaks Farm Table dinner series Thursday, May 21.
Each dinner features a different region of the country, with menus curated and inspired by local traditions, ingredients and cooking styles. The May dinner will highlight the flavors of the northeast with “Coldwater Coast,” a five-course farm dinner inspired by the region’s coastal bounty. Each course is paired with a wine or signature cocktail.
The dinner will start with an oyster and cucumber mignonette, followed by Maine lobster and spring pea panzanella salad. Atlantic halibut is next, then an herb-crusted lamb loin. A whoopie pie paired with a smoked chocolate old fashioned will be served for dessert.
The dinner is $135 per person, plus 23% service charge and sales tax.
Reservations are required and can be made on Cantigny’s website.

Pork belly with kidney beans, roasted tomato braise, cheddar, spiced crema and a pork rind follows, with a house-made “choco taco” for dessert.
Dinner is $80 per person and reservations can be made calling (630) 262-1000.
