Warrenville man dead after crashing motorcycle in Crystal Lake

A 38-year-old Warrenville man died Saturday night after crashing his motorcycle in Crystal Lake.

Crystal Lake police said the motorcyclist was driving a 2017 Harley-Davidson east on Route 14 near Lake Shore Drive at about 8:45 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle and left the road.

Police say the man was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered serious injuries. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A portion of Route 14 was closed for nearly three hours, police said.
