Chick-fil-A Crystal Lake celebrates grand re-opening and new ownership
The Chick-fil-A restaurant in Crystal Lake celebrated its grand re-opening on Saturday, Feb. 21, marking an exciting new chapter under the ownership of Josh Chapel.
The Cary-Grove Area Chamber of Commerce co-hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce to commemorate the occasion and officially welcome Chapel as the new Owner-Operator.
Chapel takes over ownership following the relocation of the previous owner to Indiana. A familiar face to the area, Chapel and his wife, Natalie, are both originally from the community. After waiting for the opportunity to lead his own franchise, Chapel was thrilled to return home and serve the area he knows so well.
“We are incredibly grateful to be back in the community where Natalie and I grew up,” Chapel said. “Crystal Lake has always felt like home, and I am honored to continue building relationships and supporting this community.”
Since first opening in 2012, Chick-fil-A Crystal Lake has been an integral part of the local community, supporting schools, nonprofits, and local initiatives. Chapel shared that continuing this strong tradition of community involvement is a priority under his leadership.
The grand re-opening celebration featured a full day of family-friendly activities and promotions. Guests had the chance to win free Chick-fil-A for a year by placing an order through the Chick-fil-A app at the Crystal Lake location during the event.
Throughout the day, visitors enjoyed a “Dress as a Cow” promotion, special appearances by the Chick-fil-A Cow, face painting, balloon twisting, custom Chick-fil-A-themed art, and complimentary ice cream.
