Ghost stories and more at Volo Bog

Reservations are being taken for Volo Bog State Natural Area's 29th annual Ghost Stories event Saturday, Oct. 10. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 per child on arrival. Tours and the haunted woods feature begin at 5 p.m., followed by ghost stories at 7 p.m. An encore performance by Mike Speller is featured. Reservations are required. Contact dnr.volobog@illinois.gov or (815) 344-1294. Provide your name, phone, email, number of adults and children in party, then watch for a confirmation with parking pass. No group registration. Volo Bog is on Brandenburg Road west of Route 12/59 in Ingleside.
