Discover archery in McHenry

Discover Archery with Friends of Moraine Hills State Park, 1510 S. River Road, McHenry, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13. Fee is $18. Certified instructor Andy Ferraro and volunteers with Illinois Department of Natural Resources and Friends of Moraine Hills will share safety instruction, techniques and tips. When registering, give first, second and third choice of time slot, name of each person, and ages of kids (minimum age 10 and minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian). Slots are available at 10 and 11 a.m., and 12:30, 1:30 and 2:30 p.m.
