Animal stories dominate this week’s photo contest

Each week’s DuPage County Neighbor section includes at least one entry in our Photo Finish contest.

Our photo staff picks some of their favorite submissions to run each week and then one overall monthly winner.

This week’s entries each capture a moment of action at precisely the right instance.

For Eugene Bordelon of Warrenville, it was catching a butterfly on the flower of a clematis plant.

For Pam Novak of Lombard, it was capturing a Canada goose as she tries to direct a gosling with seemingly a mind of his own.

If you’d like to submit a photo of your own for consideration, email it in .jpg format with at least 300 dpi resolution to ssanders@dailyherald.com.

Include your name, address and phone number, plus a description of where you took the photo and the occasion for it.

The monthly winner will receive a $50 gift certificate, good at PJ’s Camera, Pickwick Place Plaza, 662 Roosevelt Road, Glen Ellyn.
