Glenview, Northbrook COVID-19 cases increase by 26 in past week

In Glenview, 549 people have tested positive and 48 people have died since the pandemic began. In Northbrook, 349 have tested positive and 39 have died.

In the previous week, June 18-24, Glenview cases increased by 14 and one person died, and Northbrook cases increased by 18 and three people died.

Suburban Cook County had 38,182 cases and 1,967 deaths as of Tuesday, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health. In Chicago there were 52,354 cases and 2,598 fatalities.

Suburban Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry and Will counties had recorded 73,354 COVID-19 cases and 3,537 deaths as of Tuesday, about 51% of the state's total.

Illinois had 143,185 cases, including 6,923 deaths.
