Prison time in fraud cases:

Two suburban men were sentenced to prison Friday for defrauding clients of a financial management company, the U.S. attorney's office announced. Eric A. Bloom, 49, of Northbrook, was the former CEO of Sentinel Management Group, Inc. He was sentenced to 14 years behind bars. Bloom was convicted in March 2014 of 18 counts of wire fraud and one count of investment adviser fraud. Charles K. Mosley, 51, of Vernon Hills, was the company's former head trader. He was sentenced to eight years in prison. He pleaded guilty in 2013 to two counts of investment adviser fraud. The case was the largest financial fraud case ever prosecuted in federal court in Chicago, involving the theft of more than $665 million, according to a news release.
