Gun customers must show mental health
The conservative opposition to Obama's so-called politicization of the Oregon mass shootings is ludicrous. Anyone who doesn't think we need more legal scrutiny of gun sale to mentally ill people has their head in a dark place. What solutions to this epidemic in America do those who swear by the 2nd Amendment offer? Do they approve of the NRA's deceptive TV ads?
The issue is gun shop owners and their customers. I propose laws that require any gun customer to prove psychiatric health and the proprietor to prove doing background checks. If we make bartenders liable for the behavior of those who drink too much, why not for gun shop owners whose customers may be murderers?
