3-D Spookhouse, haunted hayrides and more at Steel Beam Theatre's fifth annual fundraiser
Ghouls and zombies lurk in old barns; faceless scarecrows pop-up from seemingly lifeless piles of hay; eerie tree-lined pathways take you far into the cornfields and woods aboard haunted hay wagons as you listen to the legend of this 1860s farm.
Welcome to "Grimrose Farm" for Steel Beam Theatre's fifth annual Halloween production. This nonprofit theater, entering its 15th season in St. Charles, is thrilled to partner with the St. Charles Park District to present weekend evenings of haunting at Primrose Farm, 5N726 Crane Road in St. Charles, opens Friday, Oct. 23.
Steel Beam's popular and highly-rated KC Scaregrounds 3-D haunted house (that has frightened thousands of visitors over the past four years) rests peacefully at its new farm location - just 5 minutes north of the Kane County Fairgrounds off Randall Road.
For weekends from Oct. 23-31 at 7 p.m., experience an entire evening of scares at this multi-attraction Halloween haunt. In addition to viewing the 3-D spookhouse, ride haunted hayrides, tour a ghostly barn, listen to haunting tales told by a witches coven and more!
Stop to catch your breath, enjoy some refreshments and music by the bonfire and calm your nerves before meeting more of the farm's grim and lost souls.
There is a monster-free version of "Grimrose Farm" from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday, Oct. 23-31. General admission is $22; Monster-free is $16. Tickets are sold at the door or online at www.grimrosefarm.com.
