• Sean Quinn Rhoades of Hanover Park, son of Honora Ostermann, Hanover Park, and Tim Rhoades, Sarasota, Fla., graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in management and multinational business from Florida State University, Tallahassee, in May.

Rhoades is a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, where he served as the risk management chairman for three years. He was also a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society, the Professional Management Association, club soccer vice president, and on the dean's list for three years.

The 2003 graduate of Hoffman Estates High School is employed as a management analyst at BearingPoint in Chicago.

• Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, named the following students to the dean's list for earning a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the spring 2007 semester.

Hoffman Estates: Michael Bialas and Cindi Brenner.

• Columbia College Chicago announced the following students graduated with undergraduate degrees at the May 12 commencement ceremonies.

• The University of Iowa in Iowa City named the following students to the dean's list for academic achievement during the 2007 spring semester.

Hoffman Estates: Trenton Steven Bavaro, Kimberly Michelle Denley, and Pamela Ann Gamrat, all in the College of Business Administration; and Eric Rocco Decristofaro, College of Engineering; Kevin James Farrell, Nathan Thomas Goetz, Teiana Mikkel Jones, Megan Elizabeth O'Donnell, Andrew Rudy Orlando, Lindsey Anna Robinson, Allyson Gail Schultz and Nicole Christine Zeppo, all enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts.

Schaumburg: Lauren M. Dachman, Lindsey Ann Korenthal and Kevin J. Martin, all in the College of Liberal Arts; and Amy Lynn Wadington, College of Nursing.

• Brent Martin Delgado of Hoffman Estates was named to Northern Illinois University's Department of Communication Spring 2007 Outstanding Student Honor Roll for achieving a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for the semester. He is majoring in communications, organizational/corporate.

• Kimberly Gratzke, daughter of Richard and Vicki Gratzke of Hoffman Estates, was honored recently for academic achievement during Monmouth College's annual Honors Convocation. The senior English/psychology major was awarded the Donald Douglas scholarship and inducted into Psi Chi, the psychology honor society.

• Kristen Mertel, daughter of Duane and Kim Mertel of Hoffman Estates, was honored recently for academic achievement during Monmouth College's annual Honors Convocation. The senior biochemistry/physics major received the Don R. Josephson memorial prize for outstanding work in the sciences.

• Kimberly Gratzke, daughter of Richard and Vicki Gratzke of Schaumburg, was awarded the Monmouth College fine arts scholarship at the recent Honors Convocation. She is a senior majoring in English/psychology.

• Nicholas Jacobs, son of William and Diane Jacobs of Schaumburg was awarded the Douglas R. Spitz Scholarship and the Monmouth College fine arts scholarship at the recent Honors Convocation. He is a freshman majoring in physics.

• Joanna Martorelli, a junior art/pschology major, was awarded the Monmouth College fine arts scholarship at the recent Honors Convocation. She is the daughter of Deanna Salesek, Schaumburg, and Joe Martorelli, Hoffman Estates.

• Brendan Murphy, son of Michael and Mary Jo Murphy of Schaumburg, was awarded the Reader's Digest Foundation and the Monmouth College fine arts scholarship at the recent Honors Convocation. He is a freshman majoring in music.

• Edmund Novak, son of Thomas and Cecilia Novak of Schaumburg, was awarded the Monmouth College fine arts scholarship at the recent Honors Convocation. He is a freshman majoring in mathematics.

• Gina M. Corrado of Schaumburg, a 2004 graduate of Conant High School, was named to the dean's list for the spring 2007 semester at Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wis. She begins dental school at Marquette in this fall.

• Madhura Katre, daughter of Aparna Katre of Schaumburg, was named to the North Central College Dean's List for 2007 spring term. To be eligible, undergraduate students must maintain a grade-point average of 3.6 (4.0=A) for the term.

• Richard Wolter, son of Richard and Claudia Wolter of Schaumburg, was named to the North Central College dean's list for 2007 spring term. To be eligible, undergraduate students must maintain a grade-point average of 3.6 (4.0=A) for the term.

• Donna Marie Werling, daughter of Scott and Mary Werling of Hoffman Estates, was named to the 2007 spring dean's list with distinction at Duke University, Durham, N.C. To qualify, students must rank in the top 10th of their college. Werling is a 2004 graduate of Fremd High School.
