North Aurora
• Alfred D. Pettis, 17, of 4603 Main St., Lisle, was charged with battery after an incident at Fox Tech and Trade School, 195 Poplar Place, at 2:50 p.m. Friday, according to a police report.
St. Charles
• Elizabeth A. Kovacevich, 19, of 2781 Patten Ave., Geneva, was arrested at 1:33 p.m. Monday and charged with retail theft after stealing $168 in clothes from Von Maur, 3810 E. Main St., police said. Kovacevich was released on $1,000 bond with a Dec. 6 court date.
• A resident on the 1800 block of Jeanette Avenue caught a teen rifling through her car at 7:49 p.m. Tuesday. According to a police report, the teen accessed the vehicle through a garage door and fled on foot after being spotted. The teen is described as roughly 16 years old, 5 feet 3 inches tall and 120 pounds, with dark, bushy hair. To report information about the case, call (630) 377-4435.
• Copper materials valued at $775 were stolen Monday or Tuesday from St. Charles Toyota, 2651 E. Main St.
• A car on the 1500 block of Jobe Avenue was scratched Monday or Tuesday. Police gave no damage estimate.
• Graffiti was reported Tuesday at Wal-Mart, 150 Smith Road. The word "Oreo" was painted on a rear, exterior wall on the north side of the business.
• A car door was scratched Tuesday at DuPage Expo Center, 4052 E. Main St. Damage was estimated at $200.
Kane County
• Benjamin Haritos, 19, of 441 Ann St., Elgin, was ticketed for illegal lane use at 9:33 p.m. Nov. 4 on Binnie Road west of Huntley Road in Dundee Township, police said. He was driving a 2000 Ford Expedition west on Binnie when he lost control and hit a tree and a telephone pole. Brandy Jorden, 18, of 2058 Limestone Lane, Carpentersville, was taken to Sherman Hospital.
• Tommy L. Loveless, 41, of 34W528 Springfield St., St. Charles, was charged with speeding after an accident at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday at Route 64 and Meadow Street in Virgil Township. He was driving a van west on Route 64 and tried to pass a vehicle he thought was going to make a right turn. The vehicle, a Chevrolet Lumina, turned left. Loveless and the driver of the second vehicle, Gertrude L. Scott, 67, and Patricia Patrick, 49, both of 5N928 Meadow St., Maple Park, were taken to Delnor-Community Hospital in Geneva.
• Lois A. Tyndall, 46, of 5N689 Tanager Court, St. Charles, was taken to Delnor-Community Hospital after an accident at 9:57 a.m. Monday at Routes 47 and 64 in Campton Township. She was driving a 2003 Honda Civic south on Route 47 and drove through a stop sign, hitting a Ford E150 1999 truck driven by Carolyn A. Pearson, 47, of 3N611 Timberline Drive, West Chicago, police said. Tyndall was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign, police said.
• Someone smashed a windshield on a 1980 Camaro between 2:30 and 4 a.m. Saturday on the 34W700 block of North James Drive, St. Charles.
• Jwan Alhariri, 32, of 1 E. Scott St., Chicago, was charged with obstruction of justice at 10:54 p.m. Friday at the Geneva Motel, 33W209 Route 38, West Chicago. A taxi driver accused her of not paying a $300 fare for driving her from a casino in Aurora to Lake Geneva, Wis., then to the motel. She gave police a name of Joanna S. Mahler, but her real name was revealed when her fingerprints were run through records, police said. She was also charged with theft less than $300 and released on her own recognizance.
