"There are so many reasons people need blood. Car accident victims, burn patients, and people suffering from anemia, cancer and sickle cell disease are just some of those desperately in need of blood. It doesn't cost anything, and usually takes less than an hour."

In addition, donors will be eligible for library drawings as well as shopping spree drawings sponsored by LifeSource.

Donors must meet the following criteria:

• Weigh at least 110 pounds

• Be in good physical health

• Be at least 17 years old
