Crystal Lake Chamber collecting food donations for harvest drive
The Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce is planning its annual Community Harvest, which collects donations for the Crystal Lake Food Pantry.
The drive helps the pantry buy food from the Northern Illinois Food Bank to help stock its shelves.
Neighbors can donate food throughout November at these drop-off sites: Crystal Lake Food Pantry, Home State Bank Crystal Lake locations, Crystal Lake Bank & Trust on Williams Street and HealthBridge Fitness Center.
Donations are welcome all year long at the Crystal Lake Food Pantry.
The Community Harvest drive winds down on Thanksgiving morning, when drive-through drop-offs will be accepted from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Exceed Flooring building, 5186 Route 14.
Pump It Up, a Crystal Lake business that offers indoor inflatables for children to bounce on, is donating a portion of its November admission fees to the drive.
The annual Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce's Community Harvest Mixer will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Georgio's Pizza, 75 E. Woodstock St. For more information, call Sue Bechtold at (815) 459-1300, ext. 10 or e-mail her at sbechtold@clchamber.com.
