County's Medical Reserve Corps to host open house for new volunteers

McHenry County's Medical Reserve Corps will host an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at The Point, 5650 Northwest Hwy., Crystal Lake.

Those interested in joining the Corps are encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be served.

The Medical Reserve Corps is a national network of volunteers that are community based and function as a specialized component of the Citizen Corps.

Local MRC volunteers include medical and nonmedical citizens who strengthen McHenry County's ability to respond to natural disasters, emergency health events and acts of bioterrorism.
