Learn more about wine with MCC classes
If you're a wine aficionado and want to learn tips for the best wine values, or if you just want ideas on what type of wine to serve at a special gathering, consider joining a wine appreciation class offered by the McHenry County College Continuing Education Department.
Classes include "Pinot Noir Relatives" and "Andy's Top Ten." Both classes are taught by Andy Andresky, wine columnist and owner of 1776 restaurant.

Wine Appreciation and Education-Pinot Noir Relatives: This class will feature Pinot Noirs and its relatives. Andresky give tips on finding good values and information on the varieties of Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Grigio.
This class will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on three consecutive Sundays, this Sunday, Oct. 21 and 28 at 1776 restaurant, 397 W. Virginia St., Route 14, Crystal Lake. Cost of the class is $89. Use Course ID NCU S06 010 when registering.
Wine Appreciation and Education-Andy's Top Ten: Attendees can get the scoop on Andresky's favorite top 10 wines under $20 in this class, where people can discover some holiday gift giving ideas.
This class will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 11 at 1776 restaurant, 397 W. Virginia St., Route 14, Crystal Lake. Cost of the class is $29. Use Course ID NCU S07 011 when registering.
