Interior Design-Help Your Home: Participants will use color, window treatment options, their own floor plans and lots of imagination to discover how to make the most of their living spaces. Information on how to deal with problem areas and decorating challenges will be included.

This class will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Decorator Nook, 64 N. Williams St., Crystal Lake. The cost is $19. Use Course ID NHG S25 010 when registering.

Joyful Holiday Decorating: This workshop explores new ways to energize holiday decorating through the use of symbolism from a variety of cultures and traditions both old and new. Concepts from European traditions and Eastern cultures, including feng shui, will be among the ideas explored.

This class will meet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 27 in Room A102 at MCC. The cost is $79. Use Course ID NHG S27 010 when registering.

Making a home festive for the holidays can be fun and doesn't have to break the bank. Participants will get ideas for budget decorating, plus information on where to find the best bargains.
