Food-service hazard analysis class set for MCC

The McHenry County Department of Health will provide a group HACCP, or hazard analysis and critical control points training to all food-service managers and owners/operators of Category I and Category II food establishments, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 17 in the Conference Center of McHenry County College, 8900 U.S. Route 14, Crystal Lake.

The training will focus on implementation of a self-inspection checklist to monitor the sanitation level and critical-control points of food establishments.

HACCP is a system that focuses on identifying and preventing foodborne hazards.

Category I facilities in good standing will be given credited for one full inspection.
