Crocheting, scrapbooking classes set

Learn a craft this fall and surprise your family and friends with your creations.

The McHenry County College Continuing Education Department is offering several craft classes.

These classes will begin soon:

Crocheting-advanced: There's plenty to learn about crocheting, and this class provides the instruction to advance your skill level. Projects in this session include a Neapolitan throw, beaded flower, change purse, and much more. A supply list will be mailed before the first class.

Class will meet from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursdays, Oct. 18-Nov. 29 in Room D154 at MCC. There is no class Nov. 22. Cost is $89. Use Course ID NCF S40 010 when registering.

Mini Scrapbook: Participants will make an entire 20-page, 6-inch by 6-inch scrapbook in this class. Use your creation for a baby book, a wedding album, to showcase memorable travels, or give as a special one-of-a-kind gift. Participants can choose their own color scheme and learn many different techniques.

Bring scissors, acid-free adhesive and a ruler to class. All other supplies are included in the class fee, including the scrapbook.

Class will meet from 6 to 10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22 in Room E204 at MCC. Cost is $39. Use course ID NCF S14 010 when registering.
