Villa Park group needs volunteers

The Community Pride Commission of Villa Park is seeking volunteers for Good Neighbor Day Oct. 20. Register by Friday. Volunteers will help local senior citizens with yard work for at least two hours between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. For details, call (630) 941-7915 or (630) 834-8500.

Historical museum to observe 35 years

The Lombard Historical Museum will celebrate its 35th anniversary with a party from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the museum, 23 W. Maple Ave.

The event will include giveaways, free 18-month memberships for the first 35 guests, a slide show of past exhibits and volunteers, an ice cream social and more.

Montini Catholic to hold open house

Montini Catholic High School will hold an open house at 7 p.m. Oct. 18 at the school, 19W070 16th St., Lombard. Crafters needed for holiday show

Addison Idol to be held Nov. 9

The Addison Park District's Addison Idol singing competition will be from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Nov. 9 at Community Recreation Center, 120 E. Oak St. Register by Oct. 27.

Only solo performances are allowed and each performance must be three minutes or less. Only Addison residents may compete.
