Fight Like A Girl Self-Defense Class: Assault … no woman is immune, yet few are prepared.

The Lake in the Hills Parks & Recreation Department wants to help you learn how to defend yourself. Did you know that women who resist their attackers are twice as likely to escape injury; the key is to learn how to resist effectively. Focus Martial Arts' Fight Like A Girl program is designed to teach women how to use their strengths against the weaknesses of a male attacker. You'll get valuable, hands-on experience for fighting off "the bad guy." There is no experience needed, just wear comfortable clothes. This program is unique and it works. Learn how to become the "victor" instead of the "victim."

Class will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 21 at Focus Martial Arts, 9342 Virginia Road, Lake in the Hills.
