Briefs: Actors to present staged reading

Alchemy Theatre Company will present a staged reading of the farcical comedy "Moon Over Buffalo" at 7 p.m. Friday at the Helen M. Plum Memorial Library, 110 W. Maple St., Lombard.

Bake sale to benefit cat shelter

Cat Guardians will hold a bake sale from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the shelter, 932 E. St. Charles Road, Lombard.
