Autumn Fest coming to Wheaton
The Wheaton Chamber of Commerce opens its 2007 Autumn Fest from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday featuring a carnival at Memorial Park, corner of Hale and Karlskoga streets, Wheaton. The event continues from 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. For details call (630) 668-6464 or visit www.eWheaton.com.
Touch-a-truck in Warrenville
The Warrenville Park District will hold a Touch A Truck event from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Summerlakes Park and Johnson Elementary School south parking lot, 2S700 Continental Drive, Warrenville. The event features vehicles in the community used by the fire, police and public works department, the park district, Herbo Tree Service and Voegtle's Lawn Service. Volunteer to clean up Churchill School
A clean up of Churchill School and park is planned from 8 a.m. to noon Sept. 29 at 240 Geneva Road, Glen Ellyn. Girl Scouts Betsy Williams and Caitlin Hinchey, seniors at Glenbard West High School, have planned the event as their final project for the Girl Scout Gold Award, highest honor for Girl Scouts. Following the clean up, an Environmental Fair is planned from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the school.

DuPage Art league features process

Wheaton College plans reception
The work of Wheaton College graphic design professor Alma Hoffmann will be featured Thursday through Sept. 25 in the college's Adams Hall Gallery, 501 College Ave., Wheaton. A free reception and gallery talk is planned at 7 p.m. Thursday.
"Language, Images, & Symbols in a Bilingual Mind" is free and open to the public.

Carol Stream offers a dance party
The dance, Where the Party's At, is from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday at the Simkus Recreation Center, 849 Lies Road, Carol Stream. The monthly dance for grades 6-8 offers a disc jockey, dance contests, ping pong, foosball and raffle prizes. Concessions are available. Those attending must have a photo ID from the park district. Blues and Rib Fest at Wheaton VFW
The Wheaton VFW Post 2164 will hold its eighth annual Blues and Rib Fest from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the post, Papworth and Geneva roads, Wheaton.
