Storytime starts today in Roselle
Preschool Storytime, for children ages three through five years old, will be from either 10 to 10:30 a.m. or 1 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays starting today through Oct. 10 at Roselle Public Library, 40 S. Evening storytime starts Thursday
Sleepytime Tales, an evening storytime with parent participation for children ages six months to 35 months old, will be from 6:45 to 7:15 p.m. Thursdays starting Thursday through Oct. 11 at Roselle Public Library, 40 S. Park St., Roselle. The storytime features stories, songs, and verse for very young children. Registration for the six week session is required. Nursery rhymes and Mother Goose

Book discussion for kids and parents
The Roselle Public Library has a new Book Discussion Group for children in grades 3 to 6 and their parents. The "Books 'n Bites," group begins meeting at 2 p.m. Sunday Sept. 23 at the library, 40 S. Park St., Roselle. Each child and parent team selects a title from a favorite genre -- mystery, fantasy, science fiction, historical fiction, or a contemporary fiction book. Both parent and child must read the same book and then discuss it at the meeting. Refreshments will be provided. The Devil and Daniel Webster
Overshadowed Theatrical Productions, a Christian non-profit theater company in Itasca, will present The Devil & Daniel Webster at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 21-22, Sept. 27-29 and Oct. 4-6. A matinee performance will take place at 2 p.m. Oct. 6. All performances will take place at Itasca Baptist Church, 210 S. Walnut St., Itasca. The play, about a man who sold his soul to the devil but tries to get it back in court, is based on the short story by Stephen Vincent Benet. Tickets cost $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors. French Market ends Sept. 15
