Grief support groups offered

The Center for Loss and Hope at Hospice of Northeastern Illinois is still accepting registration for the scheduled fall grief groups to help those dealing with the death of a loved one.

Time-limited groups have six sessions focusing on specific topics.

Open grief groups are also available for those individuals who do not wish to participate in a weekly group.

Registration for these groups is not required.

All groups are non-denominational and led by professionally trained facilitators.

Time-limited groups

• Loss of a Spouse/Partner is held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Fridays, Sept. 28 through Nov. 2, 9:30 to 11 a.m., at Lake Barrington Woods, 22320 Classic Court in Lake Barrington.

• Adult Loss of a Parent is held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Oct. 2 through Nov. 6 at Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 410 South Hager Ave., Barrington.

Open groups

• Mourning to Meaning is held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. the first and third Monday of each month at Hospice of Northeastern Illinois Crystal Lake workstation, 390 E. Congress Parkway, Suite E in Crystal Lake.

• Grief to Hope is held in collaboration with Catholic Charities from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Arlington Heights Senior Center, 1801 W. Central Road in Arlington Heights.
