Raue Center looks to spread holiday cheer
In keeping with the holiday spirit, Raue Center for the Arts, Crystal Lake, has adopted Valley-Hi Nursing Home. The goal is to bring much needed cheer to all the seniors calling Valley-Hi home. With the community's assistance, the collection will help as many seniors as possible.
Located in Woodstock, Valley-Hi is operated for the benefit of the aged population of McHenry County who require public assistance.
To help make the seniors' holidays a little brighter, deliver all unwrapped, new presents to the Raue Center box office at 26 N. Williams St. or to the administrative office at 108 Minnie St., Crystal Lake by noon Wednesday, Dec. 17.
The wish lists include: Men: cologne, sweatshirts, cardigans, undershirts, polo shirts, white or black socks, sports items. Women: perfume, sweaters, sweatshirts, cute/seasonal socks, knitting supplies Either: body wash, body lotion, hand lotion, watches (easy to read and to take on/off), regular candy, sugar free candy, books of stamps, rosary, large print books and books on tape.
