Jacobs nabs title at CL South

Each Jacobs' three groups shot 65 at Red Tail Saturday as the Fox Valley Conference champion Golden Eagles tuned up for Tuesday's Class 3A Prairie Ridge regional with a championship at the Crystal Lake South Invitational Saturday.

The tournament is played in a 2-man scramble format with each participating school fielding three teams.

Jacobs' teams consisted of Andrew Meyer-Tyler Vachio, Josh Kopka-Donnie Langland and Scott Cahill-Mike Kneip.

"It was a fun tournament to play in and the boys played real well today," said Jacobs coach Jeremy Bauer.
