'Natural Expressions" art exhibit
The public is invited to experience "Natural Expressions," an art exhibit inspired by the beauty of the natural world, hosted by McHenry County Conservation District.
More than 20 pieces of artwork will be displayed in this multimedia exhibit featuring artwork from a variety of mediums, including photography, etchings and intricate wood carvings.
All submissions have been created by local artists, conservation district staff members who gain their inspiration from daily exposure to the beauty of nature.
"The exhibit focuses on the natural wonders and landscapes of McHenry County as well as those found beyond our borders," said Deb Chapman, education services manager for McHenry County Conservation District.
"Natural Expressions" runs through Dec. 30 at Prairieview Education Center, 2112 Behan Road in Crystal Lake. The exhibit is free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays. For details, call Prairieview Education Center at (815) 479-5779.
