Northwest Travelers

Northwest Travelers Baseball will conduct tryouts for its 2009 teams at Harper College in Palatine. Preregistration is not required. Tryout dates and times are as follows:

• 2009 10U (players may not turn 11 before May 1, 2009)

Aug. 9 and 10: Registration,11:30 a.m.; tryout noon-2 p.m.

Aug. 16 and 17: Registration,10:30 a.m.; tryout 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Palatine Youth Baseball tryouts

Palatine Youth Baseball tryouts will be held Aug. 9 at Hamilton Fields, Smith Road and Northwest Highway, in Palatine. Tryouts for the 10-year-old team will be held from 9-11 a.m., check-in time is 8:30 a.m.; 11-year-old team from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., check-in at 10:30 a.m.; and 12-year-old team tryouts will be held from 1-3 p.m., check-in at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 10 tryouts are for players who make the first cut and are invited back. 13U Travelers

Palatine Travelers 13U tryouts will be held from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Aug. 9 and 10 at Hamilton Fields in Palatine. Register on the day of tryouts. Call Tim at (847) 991-4950.

Seminoles hold tryouts

Illinois Chill Girls Fastpitch Softball

Palatine U14 girls travel softball

The Girls U14 travel softball team will hold tryouts from 3-5 p.m. Aug. 10 at Community Park Fields, 250 E. Wood St., Palatine. Must be 14 or under as of Jan. 1, 2009. Arrive 15 minutes before the start time in order to complete preregistration requirements. Bring a glove, spikes, bat and helmet if you have one.
