Lake in the Hills festival concludes
Lake in the Hill's farewell to summer concludes today with a bang.
Fireworks will wrap up three days of rides, food and contests that evoke old-fashioned family festivals.
Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. today.
The festival is at Sunset Park, 5200 Miller Road, Lake in the Hills. Hours are 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free. Participants can purchase a wristband for unlimited carnival rides for $20.
