Aurora nabs five in reverse prostitution sting

Five men were arrested this week in Aurora as the result of a reverse prostitution sting staged by city police officers.

The alleged offenders were charged with solicitation of a sexual act for allegedly offering an undercover female officer money in exchange for sexual favors.

Albert D. Hudson, 50, of the 100 block of Boulder Hill Pass, Montgomery; and four Aurora men: William Shiver, 47, of the 600 block of Spencer Street; Diego Escobedo, 20, of the 100 block of Fifth Street; Jamie Velasco, 38, of the 1000 block of Jericho Road; and Leopoldo Rocha, 36, of the 300 block of South Broadway Avenue, were all charged with solicitation.

A sixth man, Brian K. Buck Sr., 41, of the 500 block of North Loucks Street, was charged only with riding a bicycle on the sidewalk after repeatedly being told to leave the area of the undercover operation because his actions were interfering with the sting.

Department spokesman Dan Ferrelli said riding a bicycle on city sidewalks violates a local ordinance.

Ferrelli said Rocha also was wanted on three outstanding traffic warrants.

Police, who intend to conduct several more prostitution stings, would only say this one took place on "downtown fringe streets,"

Per city ordinance, police towed and impounded the vehicles of four men who used their cars in the commission of the alleged solicitation offenses. In order to retrieve them, they had to pay $500 and any applicable towing and storage costs.
