•Thieves stole a purse around 11 a.m. July 21 at Six Flags Great America, 1 Six Flags Parkway, police said. The purse contained a debit card that was used four times for a total value of $821, police said.

•Trace R. Butow, 18, 559 Kingsport Drive, Gurnee, was arrested around 4:20 p.m. July 21 and charged with retail theft after a security agent for Target, 6601 Route 132, saw him take a DVD box set valued at $108 and leave without paying, police said. A court date was not available.

Lake Zurich

•Thieves stole a barbecue grill July 18 from a home on the 200 block of Rosehall Drive, police said. Value was estimated at $350.

•Vandals wrote graffiti July 20 on a street sign on June Terrace north of South Rand Road, police said. A damage estimate was not available.

•Jeremy J. Manley, 34, 28568 W. Lakeview Court, Wauconda, was arrested around 3:55 p.m. July 20 and charged with violation of an order of protection after he came within 500 feet of the complainant on the 100 block of East Main Street, police said. His court date was not available.

•Vandals broke the front door window and damaged a bush July 20 at a home on the 400 block of Grand Avenue, police said. Damage was estimated at $6,000.

•Vandals wrote graffiti July 20 on a fence on the 700 block of Burr Oak Drive, police said. A damage estimate was not available.

•Burglars stole a digital camera, GPS unit, DVD player and wallet around 1 p.m. July 14 out of a vehicle parked on the 2400 block of Silver Oaks, police said. A value estimate was not available.

•Jorge Castaneda, 18, 522 Arbor Drive, Round Lake Park, was arrested around 11:25 p.m. July 15 and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after an officer found him with marijuana and a drug pipe in a car at Countrywalk Park, police said. A court date was not available.

•Elena E. Renteria, 33, 1155 Orleans Drive, Mundelein, was arrested July 18 and charged with retail theft after a security agent for Dominick's, 290 Hawthorn Parkway, saw her take alcohol and cosmetics and leave without paying, police said. Value was estimated at $181. Her Waukegan court date was set for Aug. 4.

•Robert B. Macmillan, 26, 1415 Belle Plaine Ave., Chicago, was arrested July 20 and charged with illegal transportation of open alcohol and driving under the influence after a traffic stop at Butterfield and Townline roads, police said. His Waukegan court date was set for Aug. 20.

Wauconda

•Gregory A. Jones, 19, 4440 N. New England Ave., Harwood Heights, was arrested July 21 and charged with minor consumption of alcohol after a traffic stop at Route 12 and Pine, police said. His Mundelein court date was set for Aug. 27.
