Water levels steady on Fox, Chain O' Lakes

Flooding on the Fox River and Chain O' Lakes didn't improve overnight, but it didn't worsen much either.
Water levels on the Chain crested early Wednesday and remained the same, while the Fox River rose slightly in southern areas. The river is expected to crest this afternoon.
Officials say the amount of water flowing into the system from Wisconsin is equal to the water flowing out. That means there will be little change in water levels today.
