Ribfest needs volunteers

The Naperville Exchange Club is seeking volunteers for its annual Ribfest that will be held July 3 to 6 in Knoch Park in Naperville. Individuals, families, business and community groups are all welcome. A variety of opportunities are available. For details, contact www.ribfest.net.

International library starts

The Naperville Cultural Center is putting together a small international library to give the local community access to reading materials written in foreign languages or that discuss foreign affairs. The center said it hopes to have a lending system in place that allows visitors to borrow materials by mid-August. The public is welcome to donate books and periodicals. Donations may be dropped off at the center, 55 S. Main St., Suite 211, Naperville. For details, contact (630) 696-4177.

Glenbard wants opinions

Community members and residents in Glenbard High School District 87 can participate in an online survey designed to gauge perceptions and priorities for the district. The survey asks a wide range of school-related questions, including whether participants believe staff are highly qualified, the district encourages and supports integrity and that students are free from bullying. People without Internet access can take the survey at any of the District 87 schools or the district office. It is available through June 30 at www.glenbard87.org.

Parks facilities agreement

Residents living within the boundaries of either the Warrenville or West Chicago park districts will be able to take advantage of the facilities of both parks agencies at resident rates, thanks to a new agreement passed by the two park districts. Residents of either park district can take advantage of both the Recreation Center, 3S260 Warrenville Ave. in Warrenville, or the Turtle Splash Water Park at Reed-Keppler Park, located at Arbor Avenue and National Street in West Chicago, at resident rates.
