Clinton supporters should cross over

The Fence Post letter (James Cook, Sunday) was way off base by including fear tactics in his final comments stating that "survival of the Democratic Party was at stake."

Sounds like the writer was tutored under CNN and MSNBC pundits.

It's obvious the writer is not a Clinton supporter by the way he depicted Mr. Clinton with his belittling words like malevolent, misogyny and misanthropy.

As for McCain continuing with the Bush administration philosophy, it's been so puffed up by the Obama camp and the media, people don't buy it anymore.

Yes, I would rather have a knowledgeable person like McCain in the Oval Office than an inexperienced person like Obama to make the decision in pressing the war button when necessary.

I would like to point out three big reasons why Hillary supporters are crossing over to vote for McCain:

• Obama is a proven far-right radical with friends like Wright, Ayers, Rezko and now Pfleger. You are the company you keep.

• He has little experience in leading a great country; tell me, what has he has done in the Senate or for that matter Illinois?

• He demonstrates hesitant patriotism. Just recently he started to wear a flag pin on his suit. He was caught folding his hands during the Pledge of Allegiance while Sen. Richardson and Clinton had their hands over their hearts.

By voting for Obama, you have bought into the stimulus of "Change" with no substance behind it.

Plus, if he is elected president, he will raise taxes on corporations and small business that in turn will have no choice but to pass it on to the consumer. Who wins here?

What really upsets me is his lack of experience, which can put America in harms way very quickly.

I can just see him saying something off the top of his head that can land us into a major war and then trying to apologize his way out of it when it's too late.

Sorry, Mr. Obama needs to prove himself to America.
