Relays For Life fundraisers set for June

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a unique, challenging and fun way to raise money for cancer research and increase awareness of services available to cancer patients, their families, and our communities. The event begins with the set-up of campsites and fun filled activities.

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life begins at 6 p.m. with the opening ceremony and the Cancer Survivor's Victory Lap.

Teams begin walking after the Victory Lap and continue throughout the event.

At dusk, a candlelight luminaria ceremony is held to honor cancer survivors and to remember those who lost the battle against cancer.

This ceremony is open to the public and attendees do not have to be on a Relay team to enjoy this part of the American Cancer Society event. The luminaria ceremony is the event's soul.

Since this is a donation event, each team member is encouraged to raise a minimum of $100 from donors before the event.

Incentive prizes may be awarded to those teams and/or individuals raising more money. Organizers will count the donations before the event and at the Relay, are confident they will be able to raise their goal with the public's support!
