Teen hit by car in Cary

A 15-year-old Crystal Lake boy was airlifted to the hospital after being struck by a car in Cary Monday evening, police said. The unidentified boy was struck by a vehicle around 5:35 p.m. near Oak Valley Drive and Three Oaks Road, officials said. A medical helicopter flew the boy to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove after he was treated at the scene by Cary paramedics. The driver of the vehicle that struck the boy, a 40-year-old Cary woman, has not yet been charged, police said late Monday. Police are investigating.
