Bolingbrook cops investigate vandalism spree

Bolingbrook police are investigating numerous reports of broken windows in vehicles and residences that appear to have been shot out with a pellet or BB gun.

Police said it appears the shots have been fired from a moving vehicle during the evening hours over the past several days on Ashbury Avenue, Bolingbrook Drive, Charlestown Drive, Cypress Drive, Dakota Court, Delmar Drive and Hampshire Lane.

The vandals may be driving a dark-colored sport utility vehicle or a dark-colored Chevy Malibu, authorities said.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for tips that lead to the arrest and filing of formal charges against the offenders in these cases.
