Briefs: Man robbed at gunpoint
A Schaumburg man was robbed at gunpoint on his patio by two men who walked up and asked to use his cell phone. According to a police report, the victim was talking on his phone on his patio on the 1200 block of Pine Valley Drive about 10 p.m. Monday when he was approached. After using his cell phone to make a call, the men refused to return it and instead demanded money. When he refused, one of the robbers pulled out a 9 mm handgun and pointed it at the man. He gave them an undisclosed amount of cash and the men hit him on the back of his head and fled. The victim refused medical attention.
