Briefs: Dundee sets teen job fair

The Dundee Township Park District will host a teen job fair from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Recreation Center, 665 Barrington Ave., Carpentersville. Teens and young adults, age 14 and older, who are looking for jobs have the opportunity to meet with potential employers at one location, complete job applications and find potential work. CAC highlights safety

The Elgin Area School District U-46 Citizens' Advisory Council will host a special program at 7 p.m. Thursday in the library at Elgin High School on school safety and a new program designed to promote positive behavior among students. District Safety Coordinator John Heiderscheidt will explain how the Weapons Prevention Program works and will detail ongoing initiatives to keep students and staff safe at school. Elgin open house planned

The Quad County Urban League will host an open house from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 12 at the league's new satellite office, 40 DuPage Court, Suite 502, Elgin. The league's primary goal is to helping individuals and families improve their lives by achieving economic self-reliance.
