Fox River Grove police investigate early morning fire

Fox River Grove fire officials continue to investigate a blaze that erupted about 5:30 a.m. Saturday.

Fire Lt. Eldee Jackson said the incident occurred at a single-family house at 1212 Algonquin Road.

No injuries to fire personnel or the home's two occupants were reported, he said.

Jackson said the fire, which caused about $130,000 in heat and smoke damage, was confined to one bedroom. He said the house's residents were outside when firefighters arrived.

The cause of the fire was undetermined late Saturday. About 20 personnel on the scene controlled the fire in roughly an hour, Jackson said.

The Cary Fire Department brought a tanker to help Fox River Grove on the scene.
