Cornerstone helps out at Crystal Lake PADS
Realty Executives Cornerstone of Crystal Lake lent a helping hand to Public Action to Deliver Shelter on Dec. 14.
The executives of Cornerstone and their families, including broker/owner Rick O'Connor, his wife, Vicki, and their three children, prepared and served dinner to approximately 45 of McHenry County's homeless at Christian Fellowship Church, also in Crystal Lake.
"We are so blessed to be able to give our time during this season of giving to serve the needs in our community," O'Connor said. "We're grateful to be able to make this contribution because we want to show our love for Jesus and give back to a community that has continually supported us."
Holiday cheer also was on the menu, as the children of the families of Cornerstone created Christmas cards to give to the guests. After the meal was served, pianist Dianne Matter led the families and guests in carols.
"I like the singing part the best," said Joey Suthers, 9-year-old son of Cornerstone office manager Victoria Suthers. "The people who come here like to hear all the kids sing Christmas songs, too."
"Being an integral part of the community is vital to Realty Executives International's commitment to its clients," said Rich Rector, president and CEO of Realty Executives International. "We are glad that the Cornerstone office is helping its local community by getting involved in PADS. They are fulfilling our company-wide mission of giving back to the community."
